Privacy Policy

Who we are

JacksDrops is a community-driven platform for sharing Hungry Jack's Shake & Win vouchers. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Hungry Jack's Pty Ltd in any way. This is an independent, non-commercial project.

What we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service:

• Voucher barcode numbers -submitted voluntarily by users to share with the community. These are publicly visible and expire automatically after 28 minutes.
• IP addresses -used solely for rate limiting to prevent abuse. IP addresses are hashed and are not stored in a personally identifiable form.
• View counts -anonymous, aggregate counters that track how many times a voucher's barcode has been revealed. No individual user activity is tracked.
• Push notification subscriptions -if you opt in, we store the endpoint URL provided by your browser to deliver notifications when new vouchers are posted. You can revoke this at any time through your browser settings.

What we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or process:

• Names, email addresses, or any personal identifiers
• Passwords or account credentials (there are no user accounts)
• Location data, device identifiers, or advertising IDs
• Browsing history or activity across other websites
• Payment or financial information

Cookies & tracking

JacksDrops uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-T37Z1GKKB8) to understand how the service is used. Google Analytics collects:

• Pages visited and time spent
• Anonymised interaction events (e.g. "barcode revealed", "voucher uploaded") - no personal data is included in events
• General device and browser information
• Approximate geographic region (city-level, not precise location)

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (prefixed _ga) to distinguish unique visitors. These cookies contain no personally identifiable information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, retargeting, or any third-party advertising scripts. The only other third-party request is to Google Fonts to load the typeface used on this site.

Data retention

Voucher data is ephemeral by design. All vouchers are automatically deleted from our database within minutes of expiry. There is no archive or historical record of shared vouchers.

Rate-limiting records are automatically purged on a rolling basis and are not retained beyond what is necessary to prevent abuse.

Data storage & security

Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies enforced at the database level. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties.

Your rights

Since we do not collect personal information or maintain user accounts, there is generally no personal data to access, modify, or delete. If you have shared a voucher and wish to have it removed before its natural expiry, you may contact us and we will remove it promptly.

Children's privacy

JacksDrops is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since the service requires no registration and collects no personal data, there is minimal risk of inadvertent collection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of JacksDrops after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
